Investigator Bernard Charette
Bernard Charette is a 27-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department, Miami, Florida. Mr. Charette retired as a Captain and held numerous management and investigative positions during his career. He worked in the following assignments, both in an investigator and management capacity: uniform patrol, background and criminal investigator. His career assignments included specialized tactical patrol, general criminal investigations, communications, property and evidence, narcotics, criminal intelligence and internal affairs. Mr. Charette is a graduate of the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Senior Leadership Program, DEA Drug Units Commanders Academy and currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Political Science from Florida International University. Mr. Charette is the recipient of numerous investigative awards including U.S. Department of Justice Investigators Outstanding Officer of the Year Award.
